KC Food Circle™ kicks off farmers market season with the return of the Eat Local & Organic Expo Saturday, April 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Johnson County Community College. Shop, eat and connect with people who care about your food at the 2022 Eat Local & Organic Expo. 

Are you new to Kansas City’s thriving local food scene? The Eat Local & Organic Expo is a great place to get to know farmers and find out how you can be more connected to your food and the people who grow it.

At the Expo, eaters can shop from some of the best local, organic, free-range farmers, ranchers,  and small-batch artisans in the area.

On Saturday, April 9 at Johnson County Community College, you can…

• ...shop local farms. Find fresh greens & herbs, small-batch artisans, community supported agriculture programs, healthy transplants for your garden, free-range meats and eggs and sustainable wares. 

• …join a Community Supported Agriculture program. Enjoy a weekly share of the harvest all season. Learn more about CSAs near you. 

• ...start your garden. Buy vegetable, flower and native seedlings ready to plant in your own organic garden. Get your hands dirty and take home a plant  in our free ‘Potting Shed’. 

• …ask the expert. Starting a garden? Want to be more involved in your food system? Connect with experts in the field at the Eat Local Organic Expo. 

• …bring the kids. Kids benefit from local food in endless ways, from knowing where their food comes from to getting to know farmers and feeling a part of an incredible community. Enjoy our ‘Learning Zone’ where your family can experience local organic food and gardening first hand.
