I describe my present work as functional objects of non-traditional, sculptural form. The sculptural and abstract designs pretty much translates to much more work and consequently, a wee bit more money. You still get what you pay for.
Symmetry is secondary to balance and flow. It takes time and skill to execute these subtle movements. I work almost exclusively with black walnut wood, which I source locally. That’s in tree form, not lumber.
Sushi trays, cheese boards, serving trays, cutting boards, hand carved bowls of various sizes are all in process and will arrive at market soon.
If you wonder what’s up with Silk Purse Projects, stop by at market and I’ll ‘splain it to you. – Lew
